Locust Grove Elementary Re-Tested

Locust Grove Elementary, near Ballardsville, Kentucky in the Oldham County Public Schools District, opened in 2008 with an initial Energy Star Ranking of 99 and anticipated energy usage of 26 kBtu/sq.ft. In 2011, the school was re-tested, and found to have a Perfect Energy Star Rank of 100! Performing with an energy usage of 24 kBtu/sq.ft., this efficient building is costing the county only $0.57/sq.ft to operate. The 2008 Average of KY Schools energy usage is 76 kBtu/sq.ft. or about $1.80/sq.ft. We applaud the Oldham County Board of Education for their continued dedication to Energy Efficiency Initiatives.
